Terms and conditions applicable to road freight


  1. All charges are payable in the currency stated in the quotation or in local currency using the Bulgarian National Bank exchange rate at the day of payment.

  2. All charges are subject to VAT according the Bulgarian Tax Law.

  3. The quotation does not include:
    - Other not mentioned in the offer origin / destination local charges;
    - Charges for loading and unloading operation at place of loading and place of delivery;
    - Customs clearance fees at loading/discharge place;
    - Parking, detention charges and storages for the trucks and containers at the customs or client's premises after expiry of the mentioned free period;
    - Demmurage and/or storage charges after the mentioned free period in Arrival Notice;
    - Charges for possible customs inspections at load, transshipment and discharge ports, as well as all additional fees and charges that have arisen in connection with such customs inspections;
    - Cargo insurance.

  4. Payment terms: before the requested service is provided unless otherwise agreed.

  5. All costs, as well as all payment-related bank expenses are payable by the Ordering party, unless otherwise agreed.

  6. Stamp and signature on invoices and related debit/ credit notes are not mandatory under Bulgarian Law. (Art. 7 from Accountancy Law and Art. 114 from Value Added Tax Law).

  7. The maximum allowed cargo gross weight is indicated in the quotation. In case of overload above the maximum allowed weight, the price for road transportation shall be increased accordingly or the transport conditions should be subject to new negotiations.

  8. The quotation implies a free access and possibility for normal maneuvering of the truck at the loading and delivery addresses.
    In the case of restricted access and specific location features that impede the truck ́s access and require additional transport organisation,
    the offer shall be updated according to the conditions of the place of loading and delivery.

  9. The quotation includes collection and delivery of the shipment within the standard business hours of the day (8:00 – 17:00) and excludes pre-advice by phone, fixed day and time of collection and delivery, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

  10. The standard free time for loading and unloading of the groupage shipments is 30 minutes per address. After this period, the stay of truck is charged extra.

  11. Generally, in case of transportation through groupage services, it is assumed that the packages are stackable on top of each other, unless otherwise specified in the quotation.

  12. Consignments have to be packed and marked appropriately for transport and reloading operations. In the case of inappropriate packaging, the carrier is not liable for any damage to the cargo during the handling and / or reloading operations.

  13. The shipper/exporter bears the responsibility for the strict observation of the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures ISPM No. 15 concerning wooden parts and/or packing used.

  14. The offered transit time for transport of dangerous goods according ADR is valid only, if the products are compatible with the other shipments, loaded on the groupage truck.

  15. All shipments with dangerous goods have to be duly packaged, labeled, marked and with all necessary documents according the actual international and national legislation. The customer/shipper is obliged to provide complete and correct information about the dangerous goods according to Chapter 1.4.2.1 of thе Convention ADR. In case of failure to comply with the legal requirements concerning the handling and transportation of dangerous goods, Unimasters Logistics SCS Ltd. reserves the right to refuse the execution of the transport and claim reimbursement of incurred extra costs and/or received financial penalties.

  16. This quotation is based on means of transport and carriers, appointed by Unimasters Logistics SCS Ltd.

  17. At the discretion of the company Unimasters Logistics SCS Ltd, the proof of delivery may be issued as a hard copy (on paper) or as a soft copy (electronically).
    The electronic proof of delivery is an electronic document within the meaning of the Electronic Document and Electronic Trust Services Act, and is available on the online customer self-service portal at my.unimasters.com which can be accessed through a personal account with individual username and password.

  18. The parties can use electronic signatures and agree to recognise their validity as personal hand signatures affixed on а hard copy document.
    To that end, the party making the delivery will provide a device with a display where the recipients place their signature, whereupon the software of the device transforms the signature of the Customer into a graphic image and incorporates it into the structure of the electronic proof of delivery.


  19. Upon the delivery of a shipment, the recipient shall inspect its condition in the presence of the Unimasters representative who made the delivery. If there are any missing or damaged items, a reservation should be made in the hard copy of the proof of delivery or in the carrier's consignment note, and in the cases of delivery with an electronic proof of delivery, the recipient shall request the completion of a Cargo Loss/Damage Report in two copies signed by both parties and describing the quality discrepancy. The absence of a reservation or Cargo Loss/Damage Report shall be considered as a proof for receiving the shipment in the ordered quantity and in good condition.     All claims must be submitted in writing to the address of Unimasters or by email to claims@unimasters.com.
    Claims are recognized as valid only when the Customer has paid all amounts due for the provided services without delay or deductions.


  20. Unimasters Logistics SCS Limited conducts all business in accordance with the Standard Trading Conditions and Standard Warehousing Conditions of the Bulgarian National Forwarding Association (latest revision). Copy of the above mentioned conditions is published at the internet site http://nsbs.bg/general-conditions/. We advise you to get acquainted with them carefully. This offer is valid only in case you do not dispute these conditions. Placing an order as per the present offer is deemed as acceptance of the indicated standard conditions. It is deemed for every next order, whether based upon the present offer or not, that you agree with the indicated standard conditions, unless you explicitly dispute them.

  21. Unimasters Logistics SCS Limited reserves the right to adjust the quotation in the event of changes in service costs and/or expected date of departure and/or date of arrival of the shipment, which occur beyond the company's control.

  22. Unimasters Logistics SCS Limited recommends you to insure your goods in transit. The road carrier's liability is limited up to 8.33 SDR per kilogram gross weight. Carrier's liability does not exceed cargo value. The carrier is not liable in case of force majeure.

  23. All disputable matters shall be resolved through negotiations between the parties and if the parties are unable to settle an agreement by negotiations, any party may bring such dispute for final resolution to the competent Bulgarian court. The provision
